Searching top article sites might be useful while writing a topic or post. Searching Google or many other search engines yields millions of results and takes lot of time to get what we really want. Focused search engine specific to searching article sites can come in handy in this situation. Here is a site I came across that searches top article sites. This is great site while searching for a topic or spefici article. Though limitaion is the specific 30 sites it searches, we get more clarified… Continue

The Importance of the Mentor/Editor ...

Had my weekly meeting with the novel editor today. We talked about the implications of a couple of scenes - implications that I'd given thought to but not as much as she was pushing me about. It was over the placement of picture frames in the scene and as I talked to her about it, I realized that maybe I hadn't thought the moment out as much as I already had. Tonight ... When One Line Won't Leave You Alone ...

I've been ignoring my chances to start writing here. I don't know why, other than I, like most writers, can be, at times, incurably lazy. (How was that for over-excessive uses of commas?) But, as I am bound and determined to write in this thing regularly and do it about writing, I figured tonight is as good a night as any to start. There's a million cliched ways to say that ... I think I'll just dive into the pool and get off on the right foot and just start walking ... Hey, stop preparing to t… Continue

Website Updates

The first in my writing about writing posts, I've made updates to my website. I write fanfiction and it's something I am very proud of. Fanfiction is, to me, one of the most important writing tools out there. When we're given a character to work with but must come up with something original - that's more difficult than creating something original and believable. Fanfiction is a chance to play with style and technique and it's a chance to see how research plays out. My website can be accessed h… Continue

So ... an introduction. Of sorts.

I'm here, on another new networking site. Didn't I swear off of these after I decided that facebook was enough? This is different though. Why? It just feels different. Maybe because I've been searching for a place to post about writing because I was feeling that livejournal wasn't enough anymore. I wanted to expand a blog to my webpage but didn't know how. Well, this seems to fit what I'm contemplating. So, here goes. I'm starting. As with all things in life, it's an experiment. Some work, many… Continue
